Date: 8th May 2013
Time: 13:00 – 16:00
Venue: The Tun, 4 Jackson’s Entry, Holyrood Road Edinburgh

The debate on the future of the EU is on everyone’s lips. 2013 promises to be an eventful year with the expected agreement on EU funding and the UK’s review of our membership of the EU. 2013 has also been designated the European Year of Citizens; focusing on citizenship, civil dialogue and participation in governance.

ENNA, the EU network of which SCVO is a member, has joined forces with over 50 other EU networks and created the EYC2013 Alliance to place European citizens at the heart of the EU political agenda.

This event will explain how Scottish organisations can influence Europe; the ways you can get involved and why your organisation should think Europe. For background information on the year, see the Committee of the regions EY2013 toolkit.

Scotland’s Third Sector and the 2014 -2020 Structural Funds Programmes: a National Conversation

Date: 26th June 2013
Time: 11:00 – 15:00
Venue: Station Hotel, Perth

SCVO has secured Technical Assistance funding from the Scottish Government to explore options on how the Third Sector could optimise its participation in and best support the objectives of the 2013 – 2020 Structural Funds Programme.

Throughout this project we are committed to engage with as many representatives of the sector as possible. We will be undertaking a series of surveys and targeted interviews with key players to inform the study.

As a contribution to sector-wide participation we would wish to invite all interested parties to a national conversation event. This event will be an opportunity to review and critique and comment on the work undertaken to date prior to submission of a draft report to the structural Funds division of the Scottish Government.

Further information on the project and booking details for this event will be circulated in due course.
